Training aims:

This course aims to train students in:

- The treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater,

- The treatment of air pollution

- Waste management and treatment.

- Design and manage depollution facilities

- Understanding the interactions of pollutants in the aquatic and atmospheric environment, their fate and their impacts on the environment (water, air and soil).

In addition, they will be sufficiently equipped to undertake studies to quantify the pollution of domestic and industrial discharges.

Evaluation method:

Students are assessed by:

Continuous assessment: questions during the semester, presentations, report.
Control: an exam at the end of the semester.

Opportunities:

The protection of the environment is becoming more and more important in the world, an environment destroyed mainly because of the industrial activity of man. This induces global directives to reduce polluting emissions. To do this, it would be necessary to intervene at the level of the factories, as well as at the level of certain drinking and waste water treatment plants.

Thus, we can list a large number of opportunities for our graduates including:

Drinking water treatment plants at dams;
Wastewater treatment plants;
Industrial wastewater treatment plants at factory level;
Petroleum refining wastewater treatment plants;
Gaseous effluent treatment stations (treatment of atmospheric pollution);
Air purification stations in hospitals;
Air purification stations in sensitive industries such as the pharmaceutical and food industry;
Water purification stations in sensitive industries such as the pharmaceutical, food and dairy industries;
Polluted soil treatment stations
Water analysis laboratories;
Soil analysis laboratories.
