This illustrious institution was established in 1969 as Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TAR College) and upgraded to Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) in 2013 and Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) in 2022.
