This program provides students a program of study in a selected emphasis area focusing on foundations in developmental and/or family studies, as well as career preparation in a chosen concentration. Students complete course work in an emphasis area. These emphasis areas include: Intervention and Administration - completion of these courses may lead to credentialing as an early intervention specialist professional with the Texas Interagency Council on early childhood intervention. Family and Community: students completing these course requirements may file a short application to be approved as a Provisional Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) through the National Council on Family Relations Academic Review process. Human Development and Research: this option prepares students for graduate studies.
