Welcome to the Mitchell College of Business. It is an exciting time on our campus. The Mitchell College of Business is accredited by AACSB, the highest standard for business schools worldwide. Fewer than five percent of business schools in the world share this distinction. In addition, the Mitchell College holds the separate AACSB Accounting Accreditation; less than 200 schools in the world share this accreditation. These accreditations and honors allow the Mitchell College to attract and maintain a highly-qualified faculty that creates a dynamic experiential learning environment. In addition to an impressive portfolio of theoretical and applied research, faculty members are also recognized for outstanding classroom teaching. Our instructional approach is student-centered; our faculty interact with students on a one-on-one, first-name basis. We are the only business school in the greater Mobile area accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), 5% of business programs worldwide are AACSB accredited. The Mitchell College of Business affirms its commitment to the University’s focus on excellence, lifelong learning, and the education of the whole person. The College offers the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree for undergraduates and the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Accounting (MACC), and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degrees at the graduate level.
