PhD in Infectious and Parasitic Diseases

The Department of  Infectious and Parasitic Diseases's mission includes acting in teaching, research and extension activities, seeking to:

• Train competent and ethically and socially committed physicians in the face of society's demands
• Train specialists, professors and researchers qualified in the field of infectology, generating knowledge of medical and social relevance
• Extend specialized knowledge related to their area of ​​expertise to the extra-university community with initiatives of a cultural and technical nature that meet society's expectations.         

As part of the extension activities, qualified assistance in the field of Infectious Diseases stands out, carried out in line with the teaching and research objectives defined by the Department of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. The Department's mission is fully articulated with the mission of the Faculty of Medicine, which covers the general training of medical and health professionals in all their areas of competence, and of the Hospital das Clínicas of FMUSP, whose mission is to be an institution of recognized excellence and internationally in teaching, research, and health care.
