Given the intricate nature of contemporary societies, particularly within the context of Latin America and Mexico, the master’s program targets individuals invested in addressing issues of insecurity and violence, spanning across professional sectors such as public, private, and civil society. Through study and reflection, participants are encouraged to explore and implement pragmatic alternatives rooted, with the potential to drive political and social change towards the attainment of peace and stability. To accommodate diverse backgrounds and interests, the program offers multiple terminal pathways: 1) Public policies in citizen security, 2) Democratic reform of security and justice institutions, 3) Application of legal models to security. Area of studies include: Constitutional Law and Human Rights applied to issues of Citizen Security and Access to Justice. These areas enable students to conduct applied research aimed at shaping the design, planning, execution, and assessment of public policies, legal frameworks, and institutional practices related to citizen security. Additionally, they facilitate the development of tools for enhancing access to justice.
