Safe and beautiful campuses in British Columbia
UFV has campuses and locations in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Hope and Agassiz, and a growing presence in Chandigarh, India.
Situated in the beautiful Fraser Valley in British Columbia, just a short drive away from the US border, UFV has mild weather, with less than 14 days of snow a year, stunning sights and beautiful west-coast rainforests. One of Canada's most ethnically diverse regions, the Fraser Valley is, like cities across Canada, a safe and friendly place for international students to live and study.
Of UFV's total student population, approximately 9.5% are international, with 55 countries represented on campus and top student nationalities including Chinese, Indian, Saudi, Korean and Japanese.
UFV's Abbotsford campus has a math centre, career and advising centers, an indigenous student center, a student newspaper and radio. UFV's Chilliwack campus boasts a fully equipped dental clinic, a black box theatre, an EEG lab, an environmental chamber, a First Nations gathering place, a 783 square meter barn with a livestock area and a 600 square meter greenhouse.
UFV's main strengths include its small class sizes (typically 25 to 36 students per classroom), experiential learning opportunities and affordable tuition fees.
Excellent employability statistics
In a recent survey, 83% of UFV graduates were in work two years after graduating, while 47% were continuing their education. 72% of those working had found a job related to their program, and the median salary was approximately US$37,046. Read more here.
15 International scholarships available
UFV offers 15 entrance scholarships, each worth CA$10,000 (US$7,400), to the best international students who have a minimum GPA of 3.33 and are seeking to complete a full program at UFV.
After your first year of study at UFV, you'll be able to apply for scholarships as a continuing student.
