Student life
The cityBath is a beautiful city set in the rolling green hills of South West England. It’s famous for its natural hot springs and Georgian architecture. In fact, Bath’s so special it’s the only entire city in the UK that’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But Bath’s not only special because of its history. It’s a great place to live, learn and work. There is a thriving business community in Bath, making it an exciting location for a range of organisations from entrepreneurs to global leaders. Bath has a friendly community atmosphere and is ranked the second safest university city in England and Wales (Complete University Guide 2023).
Sports and fitness
You can join one of the 49 sports clubs run by the SU. Each club welcomes new members, whether you're a novice or a professional. You can use the Team Bath Sports Training Village (STV) to keep fit, play sports, socialise, and get training and fitness support from expert members of staff, whatever your ability. Many of these facilities are free of charge with your Sports Pass, which is activated through your student library card.
