University of Amin Eloukkal El Hadj Moussa Ag Akhamouk – Tamanghasset

The first nucleus of the university  was established in Tamanghasset in September of 2004 AD, and it witnessed many and rapid transformations in its organizational and pedagogical structure, from an annex

in the year 2004 AD to a university center in 2006 to a university in 2020

The first stage: the stage attached to the University of Algiers in Tamanghasset.

Pursuant to Ministerial Resolution No. 120 of the twentieth of September, two thousand and four, an annex was opened to the University of Algiers in Tamanghasset; It included the opening of branches for the academic year 2004/2005 in the following majors:

- A common stem in psychology, education sciences and orthophonia.

2- Bachelor's degree in legal and administrative sciences.

3- Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Literature.

4- A common stem of sociology and demography.

The second stage: the stage of establishing the University Center for Tamanghasset.

On August 16, 2005, corresponding to Rajab 11, 1426 AH, the University Center of Tamanghasset was established, pursuant to Executive Decree No. 05/301, with two institutes:

1- Institute of Human Sciences.

2- Institute of Law.

The move took place to the new campus of the university center located on the airport road on the fifth of July

 two thousand and six, and the university entrance for the 2005/2006 season was marked by the opening of two majors:

- Arabic language and its literature.

2-common trunk; Sociology and demography.

University admission for the 2008/2009 season was distinguished by the opening of two majors within the (L.M.D.) system, namely:

1- A common core of earth sciences and the universe.

2- A common core of economic sciences; Management and commercial sciences.In the academic season 2010/2011, the (L.D.) system was circulated to all majors in the center, so that the fields in the center are as follows:

1- Arabic Language and Literature.

2- Social Sciences.

(Psychology-Sociology).

3- Law and political science.

4- Economic Sciences.

5- Earth and universe sciences.

As for the academic season 2012-2013, it was marked by the opening of new majors:

1- The field of material sciences, specialization: physics and chemistry.

2- The field of languages, specialization: French.

And another in the master's stage:

1- The field of law and political science, specializing in criminal law.

2- The field of economics, management and commercial sciences, majoring in finance and banking.

As for the university season 2013/2014, it was marked by a quantum leap in the field of opening up various majors in the bachelor’s and master’s levels.

For Bachelor:

Field of Science and Technology: Majoring in Irrigation.

    The field of mathematics and automated information, majoring in mathematics.

    The field of natural and life sciences: specializing in microbiology.

  The field of law and political science, political science branch: my specialty: human resource development and international relations.

    The field of humanities and social sciences, the humanities branch: specializing in prehistoric archeology.

  The field of humanities and social sciences, the branch of social sciences in the fields of cultural sociology and Speech Therapy.

    The field of economics, management and commercial sciences, management sciences branch: business administration major.

As for the master stage:

1- The field of law and political sciences, the branch of law, in the fields of business law and personal status.

- The field of material sciences: majoring in energy physics and applied chemistry.

3- The field of Arabic language and literature, specializing in language education.

As for the university season 2014/2015, new majors were opened in the master’s stage, which are:

    The field of Arabic language and literature, specialization: critical studies.

    Field of Earth and Universe Sciences, Geology Branch, Specialization: Hydrogeology.

    The field of economics, management and commercial sciences, branch of economic sciences, specialization: banking and insurance.
