Universidad San Jorge

The San Jorge University was born in 2005 and, currently, its academic offering is structured around three centers: the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Communication and Social Sciences and the School of Architecture and Technology. It consists of 23 degrees, 8 master's degrees and 2 doctoral programs, in addition to a wide range of in-person and online degrees. Personalized attention is the axis on which the educational model of the San Jorge University is developed, since its fundamental objective is the comprehensive and integrative training of the student as a person and as a professional. The USJ promotes study, learning and authentic research, which provide real answers to the problems of today's society, inspired by Christian humanism, which articulates its institutional philosophy.

With a methodology focused on active learning, the USJ has facilities with the most advanced technologies for learning and research (simulators, 3D printers, biomechanics space, digital anatomical dissection table, virtual reality, television set, radio, etc.). All of this with a perspective of quality and constant pedagogical updating based on research, innovation, and constant monitoring of Higher Education trends.

Likewise, the USJ maintains agreements with Spanish, European and non-EU universities to promote the exchange of students and of teachers and non-teaching staff. Furthermore, the mobility itineraries are personalized for each student, which means that each student will go to the University most suited to their abilities and aspirations. Along with agreements with universities, and from the commitment to scientific research, entrepreneurship, and internationalization, the USJ has agreements with more than 2,000 companies and research centers.

On the other hand, the San Jorge University rewards effort and academic excellence with different types of aid, financing and its own scholarships aimed at undergraduate students. Last academic year 2022-2023, more than 1,600 students received USJ's own scholarships, which assess aspects such as academic record or family income and can cover up to 90% of tuition.

In turn, USJ offers professional guidance to students and graduates who wish it and also information on active job search through the Career Guidance and Employment Unit. In addition, students who want to direct their future work towards creating their own company can access the Entrepreneurs service.

Finally, Universidad San Jorge has high employability rates among its recent graduates. The annual survey carried out by the USJ Career Guidance and Employment Service reflects that 90% of the graduates of the 2021 class are currently working. Furthermore, regardless of their situation, 91% would recommend USJ to a family member or close friend and 92% perform university-level functions specific to the degree they studied.
