Named after the Nobel Laureate in literature, it was founded in 2000 by Felipe Segovia Olmo as part of SEK Education Group, whose proven track record in teaching excellence spans over 125 years. Its headquarters are located in Madrid.
The university is a comprehensive higher education institution that aims to educate internationally-minded undergraduate and graduate students. UCJC includes the School of Communications and Humanities, the School of Education and Health and the School of Technology and Science, in addition to the International School of Doctoral Studies and Foundation UCJC.
The two UCJC campuses are located in Villafranca and in Madrid. The main Villafranca campus offers students the combination of healthy outdoor living and a quiet environment for study along with many cultural and sporting activities. The Almagro campus is located in a strategic location and is representative of a classical, yet modern, cosmopolitan Madrid.
