Universidad Bernardo O'Higgins

Universidad Bernardo O’Higgins was created and constituted as a Nonprofit Private Law Foundation on March 1, 1990 in Santiago, Chile. The University is an institution devoted to academic training, research and the dissemination of knowledge, which contributes to the spiritual, cultural and economic development of the country by preparing graduates and qualified professionals in different areas of knowledge. In accordance with its values ​​and principles, it facilitates the integral formation of its students in an environment of discipline, respect and tolerance. Likewise, within its objectives, it promotes research, creation, preservation and transmission of universal knowledge within the field of sciences and humanities.

Our Institution teaches 24 undergraduate courses, taught in day and evening programs, through its four Faculties: Social Sciences; Engineering, Science and Technology; Education and Health. With regard to accreditation, 2017 was completed with 95% of its undergraduate programs accredited.

Along with the above, Ph.D., Masters, Academic Certificates, Training Programs, Courses and Business Projects, are part of the offer that the institution has.

To date it has more than six thousand graduates from different undergraduate programs, who are working in the public and private sectors of the nation, contributing with the knowledge and principles received during their university education.

For the efficient development of the academic area, this House of Higher Studies assigns special relevance to the academic improvement of its teachers, which is materialized in pedagogical training courses, participation in post-graduate programs, postgraduate studies and specialized seminars. Likewise, resources to support learning are systematically increased, making available to the educational process the technical elements and infrastructure in accordance with current requirements.

Our University has 2 campuses: Casa Central and Rondizzoni. Between them, there are more than 25,000 square meters built, including 3 libraries, auditoriums, amphitheatres, classrooms and modern sports facilities. In addition, we have more than 20,000 square meters of green areas and recreation, which contribute to improving the university experience of our students.
