TESOL involves teaching English to children or adults in varied international educational settings. The course focuses on developing English for education and language teaching, issues in education, teaching methods and comparative research. This course adopts a student-centred approach to learning with opportunities to interact with other learners, apply students’ knowledge to language teaching problems and reflect on experience. Throughout the course, the studies will be applied through research projects and modules, as well as in the teaching of groups and individuals. Students will consider certain aspects of learning in detail, and gain an in-depth knowledge of the English language.

Applicants normally need to hold 240 from Levels 4 and 5 or equivalent. You would have normally have studied a qualification such as:

• a Foundation Degree or Diploma e.g. the Diploma of Dazhuan, with some relevant content in language or education at Level 4 and Level 5.
