Privolzhsky Research Medical University , PRMU, was
established in 1920 to have evolved into one of the top medical universities in
Russia by now.
With a
diverse cohort of 7 147 students from 47 countries, PRMU is
committed to training health professionals for a robust society within the
country and beyond.
We are happy
to offer the following full-degree specialist programmes taught either in
Russian or in English:
1. General
Medicine (6 years),
2. Pharmacy
(5 years), and
3. Dentistry (5 years).
As well as undergraduate degrees, a plethora of postgraduate courses are
also available for students who want to focus on a specialty. Courses on offer
include: cardiovascular surgery, gynaecology and neurology among others.
While teaching begins in the classroom, PRMU is associated with many
teaching hospitals throughout the city, such as the Institute of Pediatrics and
Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Hospital. Students learn many basic clinical
skills in practice.
PRMU has modern hostel buildings where students get spacious rooms on a
sharing basis. There are cafes and canteens within the building, but the
hostels also have kitchens for those who like to prepare their own food.
The university provides its students with an
opportunity to participate in international exchange programmes – for instance,
via IFMSA.

The applicants should submit the required documents via their Applicant's Account and pass online entrance tests in Biology and Chemistry (for programs taught in English).
The university application documents include:
1. A notarized copy of a passport with a notarized translation into Russian (all the pages).
2. A copy of a school graduation diploma with supplements thereto and a notarized translation into Russian.
3. A certificate of equivalence.
4. A proof of language proficiency, whenever available.
