NTU continually refreshes its pedagogies and curriculum (including co-curriculum) to cater to new learning paradigms and students’ diverse interests, as well as to foster interdisciplinary competencies that help NTU graduates become adaptable lifelong learners.
The University currently offers single degree, double degree, integrated and special programmes. There are also several double major programmes and the option to do a second major or a minor. As part of a holistic curriculum, all freshmen now undergo a common interdisciplinary collaborative core curriculum and do internships. SkillsFuture Work-Study Degree programmes also provide deep industry exposure and enhance employability.
NTU Education, a strategic blueprint for undergraduate education, supports how students learn and provides them with opportunities to develop skills that will enable them to face the future with optimism and confidence. It emphasises leadership, communication, teamwork, ethics and digital literacy, and caters to new ways of learning, embedding the latest teaching practices, including the use of flipped classrooms and next-generation mega learning for interactive and team-based learning, online lessons, as well as residential education at the NTU halls of residence.
NTU allows credits from pre-approved Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) hosted on Coursera, edX and FutureLearn to be used to fulfil degree requirements.

Main Campus
The university’s main campus is set amidst 200 hectares of lush foliage and has some of the most iconic buildings:
Gaia: Asia’s largest wooden building covers an area of six football fields and is the university’s eighth zero-energy building. It houses the Nanyang Business School.
The Arc: This futuristic hub of learning comprises 56 smart classrooms interspersed with spaces for research, innovation and recreation.
The Hive: The brainchild of renowned designer Thomas Heatherwick, the building is renowned for its unique architecture and was described by CNN as having redefined the traditional classroom.
School of Art, Design and Media: Named among the leading creative arts institutions in Asia, the school is distinguished by its sloping green roofs and stands out as a captivating architectural gem within NTU’s garden campus.
The Wave: The university’s eco-friendly sports complex is the first large-scale building in Southeast Asia built using mass engineered timber.
Abundant food options on campus include 16 food courts/canteens (with 120 food and beverage stalls in total) and 30 restaurants/F&B outlets.
Yunnan Garden, a 9-hectare precinct for leisure, education and heritage, offers a sprawling open space of greenery and waterscapes with fitness facilities.
Medical Campus
NTU’s state-of-the-art medical campus is in Singapore’s HealthCity Novena and is home to the university’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
