La Salle Campus Barcelona, ​​a founding member of the Ramon Llull University, is a university center of international prestige with more than a century of history that offers undergraduate, master's, postgraduate, doctoral and specialization studies in the areas of Engineering, Architecture, Management, Animation & VFX, Digital Arts, Philosophy and Health Engineering, with technology and humanism as essential elements of its DNA.

La Salle Campus Barcelona is made up of 8 buildings spread over an area of 75,100m2 with more than 200 classes and laboratories, an international workshop, library, restaurant, university residence, shop, Sport & Fitness and La Salle Technova innovation park.

Among the various laboratories, we highlight IoTiCAT (Internet of Things Institute of Catalonia), the first European laboratory for innovation and research into the Internet of the Future, strengthening La Salle’s ecosystem of innovation, fostering the transfer of knowledge and promoting research; and IASlab  (The Interactive Arts & Science Laboratory) is a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and granted by the Department of Research and Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya through the Agència de Gestió d'Ajus de Recerca i Universitaris (AGAUR). The project will transform the La Salle building of the University Campus into an audiovisual hub of reference in Europe.

Student life

Currently, La Salle Campus Barcelona has more than 5,500 students, of which more than 30% are international with up to 94 different nationalities.  

La Salle Campus Barcelona contributes to the comprehensive education of its students with the active participation of all  members of the educational community in actions, services and events. It offers an education that enables students to  become valuable professionals and fair and sensitive people with values, who are committed to the development of a  better and more sustainable world.

La Salle-URL has a University Life team, in which the entire educational community is involved, which works to make campus life something that goes beyond the classroom, and which acts as a lever for the students’ personal growth. From a humanist and Christian perspective, and following the teachings of Saint Jean-Baptiste de La Salle, La Salle Campus Barcelona engages in the comprehensive training of students based on a plan that is structured and focused on a number of key areas:

Life on campus is complemented by a wide range of organisations and clubs, which organise activities, address concerns, encourage cultural activities and hold social events to create a sense of belonging to the La Salle Campus Barcelona community, including welcome events for new students, and celebrations to mark the All Saints Chestnut Festival, Christmas, and the Sallefest, among others.

Since its creation, La Salle Campus Barcelona has maintained a close relationship with the professional and business world in order to find out about their needs at first hand and as a result, train and prepare students for their future in the best way. For over 20 years, La Salle’s business services area has provided customised solutions for thebusiness world, including specific tailor-made training for professionals at work, the recruitment of talent in companies and professional development, and innovation and corporate entrepreneurship as assets for organisations.

The campus currentl works with more than 1,000 companies, associations and groups that benefit from these services, and it fosters a long-term relationship with its alumni through the La Salle Alumni organisation as links between the university environment and the business world. Part of this connection process also involves current students, who benefit from specific initiatives that support them as they join the world of work.

Also, the Talent Week is an initiative that creates a forum in which current students and former students have the opportunity to connect with top level companies and organisations, find out about their possible vacancies and present their professional profile. Various activities take place over the week, including such as One to One interviews, presentations, showrooms and other activities .

La Salle Campus Barcelona fosters equal opportunities for all young people who want to study on campus through its grant programme, which includes more than 30 forms of financial aid and funding for students in the Undergraduate’s and Master’s programmes and Specialisation Courses. With a particular focus on people, La Salle-URL aims to protect university access for everyone who has the competences needed, regardless of their economic and family circumstances or background. Every applicant—including their situation, stage in life and academic record—is personally analysed. Thus, 48 % of new Undergraduate’s Degree students in academic year 2021-2022 were given a grant and thus able to benefit from the financial aid provided to the students in these programmes. All told, 4.5 million euros were earmarked for 1,419 grants this academic year. Of this 4.5 million, 83 % came from the university’s own funds, while the remaining 18 % came from donations. One out of every three students enrolled in a programme at La Salle-URL, either an Undergaduate’s, Master’s or specialisation course, is studying with a grant.
