The university houses 8 Faculties of Studies, offering 52 programs across 44 departments, mentored by 540 faculty members and supported by nearly 800 staff, serving a community of 3000 students. Facilities comprise spacious IT- enabled classrooms, 24/7 Wi-Fi connectivity, advanced labs for sciences, engineering, IT, and medicine, a well-stocked library with extensive e-resources, canteens, recreational spaces, separate hostels for both genders, research and skill development centres, and a centrally air-conditioned 750-seater auditorium.
Faculty of Medical Sciences Formerly the Khaja Bandanawaz Institute of Medical Sciences, the Faculty of Medicine today offers MBBS, MD/MS and Ph.D. programmes recognised by the Medical Council of India. It has shaped outstanding physicians equipped with strong diagnostic skills. The faculty promotes intensive practical training through modern laboratories, bedside teaching, integrated learning, and a commitment to producing competent and compassionate medical professionals. A 750-bed KBN Teaching and General Hospital (KBNTGH), with world-class facilities, the hospital represents an extraordinary leap in healthcare access for North Karnataka. Some of the new initiatives toward modernisation include establishing a new casualty block with ICU, MICU, SICU, and Paediatric ICU; 11 state-of-the-art modular operation theatres with global telemedicine

Apart from Medical and engineering programs, KBNU also offers, Science programs ranging from pure to applied and interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary progrms in Science, Arts, Education, Commerce and Management.
