About IMT Atlantique
IMT Atlantique is one of the top French graduate engineering schools, and a member of IMT Institut Mines-Télécom – the number one group of public engineering and management higher education institutions in France. It was founded in 2017 as a merger institution of Mines Nantes and Télécom Bretagne and aims to attract a new generation of engineers who want to grow and develop their skillset in a new and innovative way. Teaching at IMT Atlantique combines digital, energy and environmental technologies and uses interdisciplinary, pioneering teaching methods to ensure that students have a wide range of knowledge and, after graduating, can use engineering to identify and solve the problems the world faces in modern society.
IMT Atlantique has three campuses – in Nantes, Brest and Rennes. Nantes is a large city in the north-west of France. It is 50km from the coast but contains a seaport from the Loire estuary and less than a four-hour drive away from the capital city of Paris. It is well known for both its sweeping countryside and vineyards and its cities which are rich in traditional architecture as well as contemporary artistic styles. There are many museums and art galleries to explore around the city. Nantes is also very well known for its food culture, particularly its meat and produce, which often supplies some of the most famous bistros in Paris. There are plenty of local restaurants offering a range of local and international cuisines for students to enjoy.
