Ifugao State University (IFSU) is a premier higher education institution nestled in the scenic mountains of the Province of Ifugao, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) Site. With six campuses strategically located across the province - Lamut (Main), Potia, Lagawe, Hapao, Aguinaldo, and Tinoc - IFSU stands as a leading center of academic excellence, cultural preservation, and sustainable development in the Cordillera region.
Tracing its roots to the Nayon Settlement Farm School in 1920, IFSU evolved through several transformations - from the Pilot Opportunity School of Agriculture (POSA), Payon Bugan Pilot Opportunity School of Agriculture (PBPOSA), Ifugao Agricultural and Technical College (IATC), to the Ifugao State College of Agriculture and Forestry (ISCAF). It achieved university status in 2009 through Republic Act No. 9720 under the leadership of its first president, Dr. Serafin L. Ngohayon. In 2018, Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon became its second and first woman president, steering the University toward global recognition and innovation.
Guided by its vision to be a globally recognized university upholding excellence amidst rich cultural heritage, IFSU is committed to producing employable graduates who are morally upright, socially and culturally responsible professionals. Its mission is anchored on four core thrusts: Instruction, Research, Extension, and Resource Generation.

Potia Campus extends IFSU’s academic reach through its Graduate Studies offering advanced programs in Education, Public Administration, and Agriculture. Its undergraduate programs include degrees in Education, Agriculture, Forestry, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Criminology, Entrepreneurship, and Hospitality Management. The campus also provides a Diploma in Midwifery, strengthening its commitment to community health education.
Lagawe Campus serves as a center for business, management, and engineering education. It offers Doctoral and Master’s programs in Business Administration and Technology and Livelihood Education. Undergraduate degrees include Accountancy, Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality Management, Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Industrial Technology.
