Badji Mokhtar Annaba University (BMAU) offers more than 78 undergraduate progams leading to a Bachelor’s degree (commonly known as Licence) . The latter is a three-year program which is partitioned into six self-contained semesters and validated through the students’ acquisition of 180 credits. Each semester is structured around four teaching units which consist of several courses each. The four units are : Fundamental knowledge, methodology, discovery and transversal units. The first year constitutes the integration cycle which provides the student with a transition between high school and university. It is a stage of impregnation and adaptation to university life and disciplinary discovery.The second year constitutes the cycle of deepening of knowledge and progressive orientation. It is articulated around disciplinary specialization and the discovery of professional fields in relation to training.The third year focuses on deepening the disciplinary specialization. It constitutes the cycle of specialization which allows the student to acquire solid knowledge and skills in order to prepare for further study, master’s degree or entry into professional life. Applicants can choose between the academic or professional Bachelor’s degree which gives a qualification and develop the required competences for the active life . As for the academic degree, it aims at reinforcing the basic knowledge and competences of the targeted research field , the methodological tools and the skills required for further studies and the forthcoming research .

Badji Mokhtar-Annaba University (BMAU) offers more than 141 Master’s programs which run over two years. It is validated when the students totalizes 120 credits through the four semesters with 30 credits each.Master’s programs are either academic or professional. As for the Bachelor’s degree, the Master’s has got the same teaching structure becaus each semester consists of Four teaching units. Like the license, the master is positioned in a field of training. In the first year, students deepen their knowledge in different fields. Each teaching unit can include courses, tutorials, practical work, internships, as well as mini- projects . In the second year, they acquire specialized knowledge and prepare their professional integration or are destined for a doctorate.The sixth semester, being the last, is devoted to the research dissertation and internship for some of the programs.
