Life at AIUB is dynamic and engaging. The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is the driving force behind AIUB's co-curricular activities. Through its various departments, it organises a range of events, competitions, and programmes catering to diverse interests. From sports and cultural events to seminars and workshops, there’s always something happening.

Sports and recreation 

As well as a gym and swimming pool, AIUB’s campus features an extensive sports complex with facilities for football, cricket, basketball, tennis, badminton, and volleyball. Whether you’re looking to join a team or just enjoy a game with friends, choose from opportunities such as:

Arts and culture 

AIUB celebrates diversity through its calendar of cultural events. From music and dance performances to art exhibitions and poetry recitals, there’s always something to enjoy. Major events include: 

• AIUB Boshonto Uthshob welcoming spring with music, dance, and art 

• Ekushey February commemorating International Mother Language Day 

• Independence Day celebrations featuring films, plays, and performances

With over 40 student clubs and organisations, AIUB offers a space for every interest. Whether you're passionate about business, engineering, arts, or social causes, there’s a place for you.

Socialising and relaxing 

AIUB’s campus also features comfortable lounges and social rooms. These spaces are designed for relaxation, study, and socialising. The open space amphitheatre and student zone provide dynamic environments for both leisure and cultural events. The state-of-the-art auditorium and multipurpose hall host everything from lectures to performances. 

Student support 

AIUB is dedicated to supporting its students throughout their academic journey. Academic counselling and guidance are readily available, ensuring that you always receive the help you need to succeed.  

Support includes: 

• Registration: Easily manage your courses, add or drop classes, and explore scholarship opportunities through the Registration Department 

• Finance: The Accounts Department handles tuition fees, discounts, and any financial concerns you may have. 

• Academic counselling: If you’re struggling with your studies, the Office of Probation and Guidance Counseling provides tailored academic support to help you succeed 

• Career guidance: The Office of Placement & Alumni offers valuable advice and resources to help you land your dream job or internship 

• Online learning: VUES & IT Support manages the Virtual University Expert System, providing access to online resources and support for digital learning 

• Mentorship: Connect with faculty members for academic and career guidance through the university’s mentorship programme 

• Health and wellness: The on-campus medical centre provides healthcare services, while the mental health support programme, in partnership with wEvolve, offers counselling and resources for emotional wellbeing

Accommodation 

Although AIUB doesn’t currently have on-campus halls of residence, there are convenient accommodation options through the university’s partnerships with local providers. Separate dormitories for male and female students are available near campus, providing a comfortable and secure living environment.  

AIUB understands that finding suitable accommodation can be a challenge for international students. To assist you, the university offers support in finding nearby.
