TheAlma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna offers 101 first cycle degree programmes/Bachelor (3-year full time length courses; the academic qualification is obtained after having completed 180 ECTS credits) and 14 single cycle degree programmes (5 or 6-year full time length courses; the academic qualification is obtained after having completed 300 or 360 ECTS credits). The Programme catalogue covers all subject and all sectors.
The University of Bologna offers 137 second cycle degree programmes/Master (2-year full time length courses; the academic qualification is obtained after having completed 120 ECTS credits). Among those, 96 are international Degree Programmes, 79 of which are taught in English.
Third cycle Programmes/postgraduates courses are also available: 48 PhD programmes, 56 Specialization Schools, 92 first and second-level Professional Master’s Programmes.

Each year more than 18, 000 students graduate from the University of Bologna. The statistics collected by AlmaLaurea tell us that more than 45% of total graduates (first-cycle graduates who do not continue their studies, second-cycle and combined-cycle graduates) obtain regular gainful employment within a year of graduation. This percentage rises to 71% after three years and 78% after five years. The same surveys report that 74, 2% of our graduates would choose the same course at the University of Bologna again.

Graduate employment (2019)
Graduates from the University of Bologna have an advantage when it comes to entering into the world of work, whether in Italy or abroad. Each year more than 18, 000 students graduate from the University of Bologna. The statistics collected by AlmaLaurea tell us that more than 45% of total graduates (first-cycle graduates who do not continue their studies, second-cycle and combined-cycle graduates) obtain regular gainful employment within a year of graduation. This percentage rises to 71% after three years and 78% after five years. The same surveys report that 74, 2% of our graduates would choose the same course at the University of Bologna again.

Scholarships have a value of € 4,500 gross and include a full tuition fee waiver. These grants are awarded for one academic year, based on SAT and GRE test scores and the verification of financial status.
