Al Quds Open University is a pioneer institution in the Arab world which adopts a philosophy of open learning and blended learning to keep up with international advances in technology and learning. Founded in 1991, Al Quds Open University has achieved many goals and success to promote academic standard in the Palestinian community. Since its establishment, over 70,000 students has joined its scientific edifice distributed in nineteen educational branches throughout Palestine. Al Quds Open University aims to deliver knowledge to all society segments as it includes six faculties (Education, Administration and Economic Science, Technology and Applied Science, Social and Family Development, Agriculture, and Media) Hoping to offer more specializations, Meanwhile QOU recently opened Faculty of Graduate Studies that grants master's degree in Arabic Literature and Counseling in Educational Psychology at Ramallah Branch. In addition to several scientific and specialized training centers which promote technological skills and knowledge in order to assist the Palestinian community to be educated with ability to construct national institutions based on competence and to realize their dream of freedom, independence and justice. The under-mentioned goals spring from the University’s vision and mission and form a work guide to the University. These goals tackle continuing activities, which started since the establishment of the University, and seek to develop and improve them. They also tackle new axes and activities that should be achieved. These goals have been formulated in a general, non-behavioral pattern, which focuses on organizing work in the form of desired quality activities. In order to facilitate monitoring, these goals were divided into fields, which cover the different aspects of the University.
