For those looking to pursue a master’s degree, QS is currently running two types of events: the QS Virtual Connect Masters and the QS World Grad School Tour.
The QS virtual events offer students all the advantages of an in-person event and give you the chance to learn more about universities around the world, without leaving your house.
The QS virtual events started in spring 2020 as in-person events were no longer being run. Since then, QS virtual events have gained significant popularity, with many students preferring them to the in-person events.
The QS Virtual Connect Masters events and the QS Virtual Connect MBA events are run on Zoom. These events provide you with a personalized opportunity to discuss your next career and study moves one to one with university representatives and admissions officers.
The QS World Grad School Tour is run on leading online platform, Meetyoo. It’s an online open fair where you can attend events and learn more about admissions processes funding, applications and what makes each program unique, to help you make a more informed choice.
Here are six top reasons you should attend a virtual student event:
You’ll meet valuable connections
Both the QS Virtual Connect events and the QS World Grad School Tour offer the opportunity to talk to university admissions officers, successful alumni and university representatives, as well as other applicants.
Not only does this give you the option to ask any questions about the university or the specific course you’re applying for, it’s also a great chance to network and meet valuable connections.
These connections can really help if you have any follow up questions about your application once the event is over.
You can ask detailed questions
On the event’s homepage, there will be a list of schools attending the event. Researching the schools and their courses before the event will mean that you can ask informed questions to admissions officers, professors and school alumni about your specific circumstances.

Nural Muhammad, from Kuala Lumpur, who attended a QS Virtual World Grad School Tour event said: “It was a very engaging meeting and I got to ask all the questions needed. I now have more clarity on which school I should go for.”
The events are free to attend
If you’re wondering how to start your search for a master’s program, there’s no better way than attending a QS online event. You’ll learn about admissions processes, funding, applications and what makes each program unique.
Registering for and attending these QS events is free. However, spaces fill up quickly so make sure you register soon to avoid disappointment!
You’ll benefit from one-on-one meetings with universities
When you attend a QS virtual student event, you’ll receive guidance from QS’ experienced consultants who will match your profile with relevant schools to create a personalized schedule of meetings. These meetings will help you find out specific information about the course or your application.
If you attend the QS Connect events, you will then be offered a series of personalized 30-minute face-to-face meetings with universities and grad schools which will help you find out in-depth information about the master’s programs on offer.
Once you’ve registered for the QS World Grad School Tour, your aims and interests will be reviewed by our experts and you’ll be given a detailed personalized schedule of seminars, events, and meetings, which will give you expert advice about admissions, funding, applications and employability.
Consult with careers advisors and CV coaches
At the QS events you will get the chance to meet directly with careers advisors and CV coaches. Careers advisors will help you set goals and help you understand the types of careers available to you. CV coaches will offer advice to tailor your CV to suit the job you want.
