      Degree Programs at Belgrano

Since its foundation in 1964, Universidad de Belgrano has been very active in coming up with innovative education ideas.  Based on experience, Belgrano has strengthened and reaffirmed the importance of career progression developed in response to changes within society, organizations and the workforce. Helping students in developing an attractive professional profile ensures first moves on the career ladder.

The University offers a variety of programs and opportunities designed to engage students in the curriculum and to enhance the academic experience at Belgrano. The academic offer includes a wide range of undergraduate programs through onsite courses as well as online and hybrid learning. For 2022, Universidad de Belgrano offers 64 Degree Programs: 50 undergraduate programs, and 14 graduate programs (1 PhD, 6 MA and 7 specializations).

Our competitive advantages come from focusing on relevant qualifications and skills:

      ▪        Doble Degree Programs:

Our DD Programs offer courses for incoming and outgoing international students with an advanced level of language proficiency. Integrated study at two universities allows a broader range of courses to be offered without extending study time. In addition, students can learn a foreign language and develop crucial communication skills including intercultural competence, flexibility and mindfulness.

      ▪        Professional Practice Experience:

Students have to comply with 200/400 hours of Professional Practice Experience as part of their academic requirements.  Work-based learning will make our students gain up-to-date employment skills and be more competitive when joining the workforce for the first time. Realizing what attributes graduates need in order to succeed in a competitive and dynamic job market is a priority on our agenda.

      ▪        Elective-Course Offer:

Electives are flexible courses that enrich Degree Programs. An elective course is one chosen by a student from a number of optional subjects or courses in a curriculum, as opposed to a required course which the student must take. While required courses are deemed essential for an academic degree, elective courses tend to be more specialized. Elective courses usually have fewer students than required courses and they are designed to enhance the students' selected field of study

      ▪        Attending Conferences and/or Talks:

Students must attend conferences and talks organized by the different academic units at Belgrano. This requisite is meant to expose students to keynote speeches from experts in their field and get inspiration about their work. Academic conferences are excellent ways to develop presentation skills, and gain new insights into topics that are genuinely related to the students` field of studies

      ▪        Final Dissertation Paper Workshops:

These workshops are meant to give orientation while alleviating the stress and anxiety that most students feel when writing a dissertation. It will help them in choosing a do-able topic, and breaking the project into small, manageable units. The aim of this written assignment is to test the independent research skills students have acquired during their formative years at Universidad de Belgrano, while using the assessment to determine their final grade

      ▪        Certificate qualifications:

T he incorporation of professional skill-based certificate-level qualifications are a supplement to conventional degree level courses. Combining a degree with a certificate can provide students with a competitive profile when applying for a position. Students achieve greater intellectual development and deeper knowledge of the discipline when applying problem-solving capacities, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, intercultural competencies, commitments to social service, and even career development in such areas as Administration, Finances, Real State, Taxation, Law, Politics, International Relations, Organizational Psychology and English Language.

      ▪        The ‘employability’ Agenda:

Future employment is also a concern at Belgrano. The relationship between Degree Programs and the productive sector is strong and instrumental in articulating the employer-higher education interface and in developing the graduate attributes required for their professional workplace. Supervised by faculty, students attend field trip visits in the academic year and attend guest speaker talks coming from different backgrounds e.g., public and private sectors, corporate, entrepreneurship and small business as well as social work.
