Potential careers for history majors: Studying history goes beyond learning about past events. Skills like researching, critical thinking, writing and learning how the past influences today and tomorrow are essential parts of our courses at UIndy. Ultimately, these skills prepare you for a number of careers, such as: Teaching: History education majors are prepared to teach in middle and high schools, as well as teach abroad. Research institutions: Because many of your courses will be research-driven, you will graduate well-prepared for any position requiring extensive research.
