The National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA) is located in Kiev, Ukraine. The university’s predecessor, The Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, was established in 1615. It was reorganized and has existed in its current form since 1991.
The university teaches in both Ukrainian and English, and is one of the few universities in Ukraine with internationally recognised diplomas. It is also one of the smallest universities in the country, with just under 4,000 students and around 1,100 members of staff (including academic faculty).
NaUKMA offers 22 bachelor programs, 28 master programs, 15 PhD programs and eight experimental PhD programs. They collaborate with 120 universities from 35 countries, with around 20 per4ent of students electing to take part in international projects including summer schools, conferences, and internships.
Students can enjoy being in the capital city of Ukraine, in a campus that holds 11 architectural monuments, the oldest of which date from the 17th century. Although the student body is small, it offers a number of extracurricular activities. Sports courses are compulsory for NaUKMA students, including calisthenics, volleyball, swimming, and fitness exercises.
