The Benefits of Studying Abroad main image

I was born in Pakistan, a small but vibrant country sheltering millions of aspirants. Like other kids, I too set up some goals at a young age. I wanted to have fun, help others, acquire a good education and, above all, live my life to the fullest.

I have no regrets in my life (except for those occasional mood swings when nothing seems pleasant). This is partially based on my experiences during the last few years, which saw me completing my undergraduate course, getting a well-paid job and then deciding to pursue the benefits of studying abroad.

From being a kid living in the world of fantasies I have grown up to be a man shrugging off the ‘impossible’ of the real world. The beauty of my life is indebted to the experiences I’ve had and continue to have during my academic career, especially my choice of studying at an international university. Let me tell you some reasons why I am so passionate about studying abroad and why it would be fruitful to you should you choose to leave your country for study.

Open a window to bigger and better opportunities

You grow up in a society, where you finish your elementary education. You then go to a college or high school and eventually complete your graduation. This upgrade not only provides you with a better education but also gives you a whole new perspective on everything around. With every new level you become part of a new culture and do things you have never done before.

Did you get a chance to play with scientific experiements when you were young? No. But you did as you progressed through high school. You didn’t dissect a frog as a kid, but you would get a chance to do that and much more in a medical school. You were a quarterback in your primary school, but you got the opportunity to impress the league giants in college. The point is: with every ladder you climb you get more and better opportunities. And this is one of the main benefits of studying abroad: you open a window to new, better and bigger opportunities. Don’t miss it!

Discover your own full potential

I don’t drink, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to party or celebrate. English is not my first language, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t talk to someone who does not understand my mother tongue. Exposure to new cultures, places, and environments allows you to test your true abilities and discover your full potential.

For me this is another of the top benefits of studying abroad. It’s like being on a stage in front of a huge crowd – scary, but there is no way back. And when there is no way back there is only one solution: take the way forward. Whatever you do here will help you to discover and reach your own full potential. Moral of the story: every difficult experience you have in life brings out another hidden talent, something you were not even aware of. And studying abroad will provide you with many such encounters.

Unleash your inner adventurer!

Put the educational aspects and personal development aside. Life in a new country where you go for study is certainly adventurous. You are truly the master of your own life; control it the way you want. Uncountable opportunities for sightseeing, crazy nights out, all-night study sessions, new friends who are equally excited about the benefits of studying abroad, networking opportunities (after growing up in India, and completing higher studies in Australia, you might end up working in Singapore…), an awesome day at the beach or in the mountains or wherever. These are the benefits of studying abroad that will end up filling your photo albums, phone books and memories.
