QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022: Release summary page
Occasionally errors are reported after the analysis is complete and after institutions have received their rank and scores. In such cases, QS first rectifies the issue and where necessary updates the institution with a corrected set of results.
If a rank change occurs we place the corrected institution in its correct position but leave all other institutions unaffected.
This can result in two institutions in the same rank position with slightly different scores. In the case of an institution being removed from the rankings, again no other institutions will be affected but a gap may appear in the ranks.
Following the compilation of our first release candidate for this ranking, several corrections have been made (see below):

After re-screening, University of Huddersfield (UK) was included into the rankings in Communication & Media Studies.

After re-screening, Université Sorbonne Nouvelle (France) was included into the rankings in Linguistics.

After re-screening, Peking University (China Mainland) was excluded from the rankings in Civil & Structural Engineering.

After re-screening, Northeastern University (China Mainland) was excluded from the rankings in Petroleum Engineering.

After re-screening, University of Canterbury (New Zealand) was included into the rankings in Agriculture & Forestry
June 22, 2022
After re-screening, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong S.A.R.) was included into the rankings in Environmental Sciences.
June 22, 2022
After re-screening, Lund University (Sweden) was included into the rankings in Philosophy and in Material Sciences.
Sept 9, 2022
After reevaluating H Index score, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (China Mainland) was included into the rankings in Architecture & Built Environment.
