The Master's Degree in Science, Philosophy, and Theology of Religions was launched in 2006 at FTL within the Re.Te. (Religions and Theology) Institute, with the aim of providing education in religious knowledge and interreligious dialogue in an increasingly multicultural world. Since 2014, thanks to a collaboration with USI's eLearning Lab (eLab), the Master's Degree has also been offered online. Today, this is the only available option for its courses.
The Master's course can therefore be followed remotely, asynchronously, on a Moodle platform. Students can complete the entire course at their own pace and in a manner that suits them, interacting remotely with the instructors, and always supported by a university tutor.
The Master's in Science, Philosophy, and Theology of Religions is characterized not only by the excellence of the professors who participate in the two-year program, but also by the extremely timely nature of the courses taught. The instructors come from various European countries and are among the leading specialists in their fields. The courses, all taught in Italian, offer in-depth study of the major world religions, the disciplines that study them, and the issues that must be addressed in various religious contexts. All this serves to identify concrete ways in which conflicts between different religious perspectives can be overcome and to teach how to do so.
