About National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech)
The university is located in Taipei, Taiwan's capital city, whose culture is a fusion of Chinese, Japanese and South Asian traditions with a western artistic influence.
Wander through the narrow lanes of Dadaocheng to admire traditional architecture, and visit ancient temples in Longshan and Qingshan. Or head to Xinyi for the art exhibition centre, the digital plaza and glossy skyscrapers, including Taipei 101 – Taiwan’s tallest building.
There’s a lively, creative element to the city in shopping districts such as Ximen, which is just as popular for its vintage and boutique shops as its street culture of graffiti and dance performances.
Commitment to social and environmental sustainability
Taiwan Tech promotes social and environmental sustainability in both education and research. The university has gained recognition for its contributions to the University Social Responsibility (USR) initiatives, reflecting its commitment to addressing global challenges through education and research.
ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) topics prominently feature in the university's courses and research, and several dedicated research centres explore these areas.
