National Chung Cheng University (CCU) was founded in 1989 in Chiayi County, southern Taiwan. Currently, CCU has 11,000+ undergraduate and graduate students, including 400+ international students. As a comprehensive university, it consists of 7 colleges and 29 Departments, offering 98 graduate programs for Master’s and Doctoral degrees. The university is known for Humanities and Social Sciences, which are highly ranked in the QS World University Subject Rankings.
CCU Colleges
Moreover, we offer 285 courses taught in English as the Medium of Instruction (EMI) and provide 6 international degree programs for graduate students. CCU also offers scholarships for international students, including tuition and fee waivers, dormitory fee exemption, and living stipends to support their financial needs.
The College of Engineering has established international internship programs with scholarships, supported by the Ministry of Education. Notably, the college has supervised a Ph.D. student who was recognized as one of the top 2% of scientists by Stanford University.
CCU is a member of the Taiwan Comprehensive University System (TCUS), which also includes National Cheng Kung University, National Sun Yat-sen University, and National Chung Hsing University. Through this partnership, TCUS members share teaching and research resources, offering enhanced supports for faculty and students.

Entry requirements
If you’re an international student interested in the study a master’s at National Chung Cheng University, you’ll need to have a qualified bachelor’s degree diploma. For those wishing to pursue a doctorate, you’ll need a qualified master’s degree diploma.
Tuition fees
The average tuition fee per year for international students to study at National Chung Cheng University costs between NT$48,000 - NT$55,000 (US$1,600 - US$1,833) (depending on the college).

How to apply
You’ll need to register your interest on our website if you wish to study at National Chung Cheng University.
