Resources and Chemistry Precinct
Our Resources and Chemistry Precinct is a hub for science and engineering learning and research. It includes several laboratories and collaboration spaces, and hosts Western Australia’s leading provider of chemical and forensic science services, the ChemCentre.
The Astrodome
Featuring a live feed from a 12-inch Meade Refractor telescope, our physics students have a direct link to national and global astronomy projects.
Curtin Engineering Pavilion
The innovative design and technologies in our spacious Curtin Engineering Pavilion Complex double as hands-on learning tools for engineering students.
School of Design and the Built Environment
This excellent new building in Curtin Perth’s Exchange Precinct has mechanical, electrical and hydraulic services and structural elements exposed so that our design and architecture students can observe how buildings function.
Green Electric Energy Park (GEEP)
The GEEP laboratory enables our science and engineering students to conduct advanced experiments and research projects on renewable energy sources.
Simulated hospital ward
Replicating a real Western Australian hospital ward, this facility includes acute medical and surgical areas, a critical-care area, a paediatric area and a general simulation room. The simulated hospital ward allows health students to learn in a realistic hospital environment.
Simulated pharmacy
Our pharmacy students gain experience in dispensing medications and managing stock in our purpose-built model pharmacy.
PC2 Superlab
Curtin’s physical containment level 2, or PC2, teaching lab features advanced equipment to help identify and classify bacteria, enabling our students to analyse samples and report results as an industry laboratory would.
Allied health clinics
Curtin Health Sciences students gain practical experience with real patients, through placements in specialist clinics in psychology, physiotherapy, exercise, oral health or speech.
Jeanette Hacket Moot Court
Take part in simulated court proceedings at our high-tech moot court facility in Perth city and practise your debating and legal skills in global student law competitions.
Curtin Tax Clinic
This student-run clinic is where our taxation students help members of the public with their tax return, under the supervision of experienced tax practitioners.
Stock trading tools
At Curtin Business School, students can get hands-on experience with Refinitiv Eikon trading and financial analysis software, the tools that professional stock traders use.
Media Production Studio
This studio has interactive media facilities with HD and 4K-compatible technology, and industry-standard digital recording and post-production vision and sound editing systems.

The HIVE is a learning and research facility comprising advanced equipment for visualisation, virtualisation and simulation.
Innovation and entrepreneurship
Curtin has a dedicated ‘Curtinnovation’ team that delivers a range of entrepreneurship programs. For example, over the past 22 years, our Ignition program has upskilled more than 700 entrepreneurs and 550 new businesses to make their mark in the start-up industry.
And in 2024, Curtin is offering a new Bachelor of Innovation degree, for students who think outside the box, strive for change, or aspire to set up their own future businesses.

Alternative entry options
If you do not meet all the criteria, you may gain entry to Curtin by applying via our alternative entry pathways. For example, the UniReady Enabling Program is a short pathway program that can lead to entry to various undergraduate courses. Enabling courses in science, engineering and health sciences also offer alternative entry pathways. In addition, the University’s affiliated Curtin College offers courses that can help students gain the eligibility to apply to a Curtin undergraduate course.

Master
Curtin Perth has a strong sense of connection and community, both within and beyond classrooms. Collaborative learning spaces and outdoor leisure areas provide our students with many choices of where to meet for socialising or teamwork. Curtin students also enjoy a range of activities, such as music, food and cultural events; sports and fitness; social clubs and societies; and volunteer activities.
Robertson Library
Curtin Perth’s main library, the TL Robertson Library, has recently been renovated, transforming into a beautiful, light-filled building with many spaces for studying and socialising with friends. There are group areas, an entire floor dedicated to quiet study, and a reading room with a tranquil view of the campus. There is also a Makerspace with tools and materials for creative activities, a student kitchen and a café. You can even take a 20-minute power nap in a sleep pod!
Curtin Stadium
Curtin Stadium is a hub of sport and fitness at Curtin Perth. Students can use a gym (and there’s a dedicated women’s gym), fitness area, indoor cycling studio, sports hall and multi-purpose courts.
Curtin Exchange
Curtin Perth’s latest development is the Exchange precinct. Exchange is an integrated education and industry precinct, home to our new School of Design and the Built Environment, a hotel, residential apartments, retail and food outlets and modern student accommodation.
On-campus accommodation
Curtin Perth has six on-campus accommodation options, managed by St Catherine’s College and UniLodge, for you to choose from. All options are close to the University and various amenities, giving you the convenience of an urban lifestyle and the opportunity to form new friendships with other students who come from all over the world to study at Curtin.
And when you’re ready for a break and want to explore, it’s an easy public transport ride or a short drive to the city, major shopping and cuisine precincts, and many sightseeing destinations.
Faith and religion
We welcome people of all faiths. Curtin staff and students have access to prayer rooms and the Curtin Student Guild supports a range of faith-based clubs and societies.
Security and personal safety
Our Safer Community Team is dedicated to keeping our students and staff safe on campus. Available 24/7, the team offers a security escort service, mechanical assistance, secure building access and the SafeZone security app.
Curtin English
Curtin English is a language school at Curtin Perth that offers English language courses tailored to the needs of our international students. Curtin English offers flexible courses that can be studied in-person, online, full-time or part-time.

Curtin Perth Accommodation
Curtin has six on-campus accommodation options that are surrounded by recreational spaces. Our newest accommodation buildings, Twin Dolphin Hall and St Catherine’s College, form part of our industry-connected Exchange precinct. We also have student accommodation options at Curtin Kalgoorlie.
All our Perth accommodation options are a five-to-ten-minute walk from your classes and close to Curtin Stadium, Curtin Central Bus Interchange, and cafés and restaurants – offering all the convenience of an urban lifestyle and plenty of opportunities to make new friends.
And when you’re ready for a study break, you’re a short drive from the Perth CBD, Optus Stadium, the South Perth foreshore, local café strips and major shopping precincts.

Market days, multicultural week, live music and the Guild Ball are just a few of the amazing events held on campus.
Technological convenience
Wi-fi can be accessed across the campus and there’s a number of places on campus where you can recharge your devices. We also have several computer labs equipped with printing stations, scanners, graphic workstations, smart boards and current software.

With a wide range of sports and social groups to choose from, you’re bound to stay healthy, happy and connected during your time at Curtin.
Food, glorious food
Whether you need coffee or kombucha, a quick sandwich or a hearty hot meal, you can get it on campus. We have great cafés and a variety of food trucks!
Supporting your health and wellbeing
Studying can be challenging at times, so we offer a range of health and wellbeing services based conveniently on campus. These include a physiotherapy clinic, and a medical centre where you can make an appointment to see a doctor, occupational therapist, psychologist, counsellor or social worker. If you have a disability or you’re caring for someone with a disability, you can access support services and assistance to help you succeed at Curtin. Our Student Wellbeing Advisory service also offers free and confidential support for any issue that may be affecting you, no matter how big or small.
Study support
We acknowledge that university is different to school study, so we offer support to help you transition to university, such as for peer-to-peer tutoring and library help.

You’ll start your course with Orientation Week, where you will receive lots of support from Curtin Connect and student advisors.

Industry placements are offered in many courses, so you can gain professional work experience while you study.
