Arts & Law: humanities, social sciences, journalism, media, the Tasmanian College of the Arts, laws, legal studies

Tasmanian School of Business and Economics: accounting, finance, economics, management

Education: primary, physical activity studies

Health: medicine, pharmacy, nursing, psychology, human life sciences, laboratory medicine

Science, Engineering and Technology: agricultural science, architecture and design, chemistry, information and communication technology, earth sciences (geology), engineering, geography and environmental studies, mathematics and physics, plant science, spatial sciences, zoology

Australian Maritime College: national centres for maritime engineering and hydrodynamics, and ports and shipping

Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies: marine and Antarctic, fisheries and aquaculture, and marine conservation

Generally, students applying to the University of Tasmania must satisfy the general entry requirements for their chosen course.

For students who do not meet our academic requirements for entry into their chosen course, the Foundation Studies Program is designed to help you upgrade your academic skills to commence a University of Tasmania degree course after 28 weeks of study.

If on the other hand your English language skills need to be improved before you can gain entry to your chosen course, the English Language Centre (ELC) UTASAccess-Direct Entry program will provide you with an alternative pathway into an undergraduate degree with us.

The University offers more 150 postgraduate programs from Graduate Certificates through to Masters and research programs, covering a broad range of disciplines. Many of our programs are accredited and professionally recognized by industry and professional bodies in Australia and abroad.

Arts & Law: social sciences, journalism, social work, the Tasmanian College of the Arts (visual and creative arts), music

Tasmanian School of Business and Economics: accounting, finance, marketing, international business, management
