Tuition fees

The tuition fee for non-EU/EEA citizens in bachelor's and master's programmes taught in English is: 12 000– 15 000 euros per academic year for bachelor’s degree programmes and 15 000–20 000 euros per academic year for master’s degree programmes. Citizens of a European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) member state or Switzerland are not required to pay tuition fees for degree studies.

Tuition fees apply to degree programmes taught in English. In Finland, tuition fees are collected from students who are citizens of countries other than those of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland. Aalto University offers a small number of scholarships to fee-paying students. Aalto University Excellence Scholarships are merit-based and are granted on a competitive basis to the highest-achieving applicant based on the programme's evaluation criteria.

Yes, our graduate programmes require academic level English and you will need to demonstrate your English proficiency, when you apply to master’s programmes at Aalto University. Yes, we arrange online and offline events and webinars, and participate in student fairs abroad and in Finland. We, for example, organise a week-long Aalto Open Days event for all prospective students and in 2024 it will be helo 30.9.–4.10. The hybrid Open Days event includes webinars on student experiences, applying and different services for students as well as live campus tours!
